# Marquee text

The **Marquee text** section displays horizontally scrolling text with two animation modes:

* **Marquee**: automatic continuous scrolling.
* **Scroll**: text scrolls in sync with page scroll.

This is a **preset section** — it can be added, removed, and reordered.

#### How to Configure the Marquee Text

1. In Shopify admin, go to **Online Store → Themes**.
2. Click **Customize** next to the **Elemento** theme.
3. In the theme editor, navigate to the desired page template (e.g., Home page) using the top preview dropdown.
4. In the left sidebar, click **Add section**, then select **Marquee Text**, or locate it if it’s already added.
5. Enter the text you want to scroll across the screen and customize settings such as scroll speed, direction and colors.
6. You can **drag and drop** this section to reorder it on the page.
7. Click **Save**.

#### Section Settings

| Mode              | Select (marquee, scroll)                              | Choose between continuous autoplay (**marquee**) or scroll-synced animation (**scroll**). |

| Transition delay  | Range                                                 | Delay between transitions. Only available in **scroll** mode.                             |
| Transition easing | Select (ease, ease-in, ease-out, ease-in-out, linear) | Timing function for animation. Only for **scroll** mode.                                  |
| Color scheme      | Color scheme                                          | Select the color styling for the section.                                                 |

**Block: Text**

Each block adds an item to the marquee strip.
