# Recommended products

The **Recommended Products** section is a **preset** available for **product pages**, designed to display automatically suggested products that are relevant to the current product. This helps increase user engagement and boosts cross-selling opportunities.

#### How to Configure the Recommended Products

> **Note:** This section can be customized using the [Search & Discovery](https://apps.shopify.com/search-and-discovery) app. To add the products themselves to the slider, all you need to do is install the app. The app will then automatically create a selection of recommendations for each product.

1. In Shopify admin, go to **Online Store → Themes**.
2. Click **Customize** next to the **Elemento** theme.
3. In the theme editor, navigate to the **Product page** using the top preview dropdown.
4. In the left sidebar, locate the **Recommended Products** section or click **Add section** to insert it.
5. Customize layout settings such as the number of products shown, heading, and styling.
6. You can **drag and drop** this section to reorder it on the page.
7. Click **Save**.

#### **Section Settings**

| **Heading**                  | Text             | Title displayed above the product list (e.g., “Recommended for you”).              |
| **Maximum products to show** | Range            | Maximum number of products to display in the section.                              |
| **Image ratio**              | Select           | Controls the shape of product images. Options: *Adapt to image, Portrait, Square*. |
| **Color scheme**             | Preset selection | Defines the visual style of the section.                                           |

**Section Padding**

#### **Behavior and Configuration**

* This section uses Shopify’s native **product recommendation engine**, which automatically determines relevant products based on purchase behavior, product data, and collections.
* No manual configuration is required in the **Search & Discovery** app.
* Product suggestions are **dynamically updated** per product page.
* The section will **only render** if Shopify returns valid recommendations.
